Mizzou Men’s Basketball head coach Cuonzo Martin announced on Twitter Monday afternoon he has tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss the team’s SEC opener this Wednesday against Kentucky. “Encouraging everyone to stay safe during this holiday season. I’ve tested positive for Covid,” Martin wrote in a tweet. “Feeling well and thankful for our athletic training staff following protocol and keeping our team healthy. Our program is excited and ready to start conference play.” Assistant coach Cornell Mann will act as the head coach when the Tigers begin conference play tomorrow night at No. 18 Kentucky. Mizzou, 6-6 so far this season, then plays its home SEC opener on January 5th against Mississippi State.
