Last night in a game heard here on KDWD, the Marceline Tigers baseball team won a Lewis & Clark Conference game at home against Westran 7-5. After falling behind 3-0 after two innings the Tigers got the offense going in the fourth scoring 4 runs on 3 hits to take a 4-3 lead. Marceline put the game away in the 5th as Nathan Cupp hit a 2-run home and Calvin Cathey belted a solo shot to make it 7-3. Westran got 2 in the top of the 7th on a home run but the Tigers held on for the win. Cupp was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. Marceline is now 7-4 on the season and will travel to Scotland County Thursday night.
